Captains Bio - Capt. Phil Ridge
Born and raised fishing on the Great Lakes of Michigan, Phil moved to Marco Island in 1978.
He bought his first local boat one week later while still sleeping on his friends couch. He spent the next 7 years learning the ropes and the waters of the Gulf of Mexico while doing some part time guiding.
In 1985 Phil went full time in the business and has been doing what he loves and was meant to do ever since. He has a Wife and 3 school age children and enjoys teaching anyone who wants to learn how to enjoy a lifetime of fishing excitement.
After 23 years and over 5000 trips guiding Marco waters, Capt. Phil has seen and dealt with almost everything that can happen on a charter boat in the Gulf of Mexico. So you can relax, and enjoy your trip. You'll be in good hands.
